How to Start a Product Review YouTube Channel
Pick a category, find your first 20 video ideas, and publish one with the phone you already have.
No camera, no lights, no budget — you'll build your first list of reviewable products from what's already in your house.
Four filters that tell you whether anyone is looking for what you want to talk about, before you spend a year finding out.
Running out of things to make is what ends most channels around video six. You'll have your backlog written before you film the first one.
Not after you buy gear or figure out branding — on the phone in your pocket, by the end of the course.
About This Class
Most people who want to start a review channel never make the first video. They watch a bunch of videos about what camera to buy, what lights to get, how to set up a studio, and decide they’ll start once they have all of that. That’s the wrong order.
You already own things you have opinions about. That’s all you need to start.
This course walks you through picking a product category that people are actually searching for, figuring out who you’re making videos for, and building a list of twenty video ideas before you film anything. By the end of it you’ll have published your first video with the phone in your pocket.
It’s not going to be a good video. That’s fine. The list of things you’d do differently is the only thing you can’t get from watching more courses, and the only way to get it is to make something.
I’ve been reviewing products for over a decade. Two channels past 100,000 subscribers, and they’ve earned consistently that whole time. I’m also starting a brand new channel from zero right now, and I’ll show you what that actually looks like while you’re doing the same thing.
One more thing most people leave out: reviewing products has a shelf life. Almost everyone who does it long enough gets tired of talking about the next thing, and a lot of them quit. I’ll show you where this leads so you’re building toward something from the first video instead of figuring it out three years in.
